A leading organisation is looking for a Senior Market Structure Specialist to take charge of driving their strategic direction through expert market structure research, microstructure design, and trade execution functionality advisory services. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of the market across all asset classes.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Lead market structure research providing strategic insights on both South African and international markets.
2. Contribute to the development of microstructure designs through benchmarking and analysis of trading patterns globally.
3. Apply market microstructure principles to inform the liquidity strategy and execution functionality to drive revenue.
4. Utilise market structure analytics to track asset class profitability and identify business development opportunities.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients leveraging industry networks and thought leaders.

Requirements :

1. MSc Degree or equivalent qualification.
2. 10 years of experience in Data Science and programming, particularly within the financial markets.
3. Expertise in trading technology and multi-asset market structures.
4. Advanced skills in data analysis and database management systems (Python, MATLAB, C).
5. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a proven track record in client service and strategic decision-making.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain market structure analytics assets such as code repositories, databases, and vendor contracts.
