Delivery Lead (Program/Project Manager) in Deloitte’s Digital Engineering business

As a delivery leader, you will own the end-to-end execution of high-impact engagements, ensuring quality delivery while expanding client value through farming, cross-sell, and up-sell initiatives. You should be fluent in execution, client engagement, value realization, and trusted advisory, bringing senior leadership gravitas and commercial acumen.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Leading cross-functional teams for projects in AI & Data, Cloud Migration, Transformation, and Software Development.
2. Managing multi-million-rand client engagements as the single delivery accountability point.
3. Facilitating agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for efficient project delivery.
4. Collaborating with technical leads, managing scope, budget, and timelines.
5. Maintaining stakeholder communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Supporting and enabling high-performing teams.
7. Monitoring and resolving project risks, dependencies, and issues proactively.
8. Ensuring quality, timely, and within-budget delivery aligned with project plans and governance.
9. Driving delivery rigor, governance, quality assurance, and operational excellence.
10. Translating client objectives into delivery roadmaps and achieving measurable outcomes.
11. Building trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
12. Identifying unmet needs and whitespace opportunities within existing accounts.
13. Supporting cross-sell and up-sell motions to expand engagement into advisory and managed services.
14. Mentoring delivery managers, architects, and consultants on high-stakes projects.
15. Ensuring alignment between delivery, sales, and operational teams to drive client value.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree; postgraduate preferred (e.g., BBusSci, Bcom, Project Management certifications like PMI/Prince2, Agile/Scrum).
• Agile delivery certification (Scrum Master, PMI-ACP).
• Technical certifications in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) are advantageous.
• Experience in consulting delivery methodologies is highly valued.
• 12+ years of leadership in consulting or enterprise project/program management.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale programs involving AI, Data Engineering, MLOps, GenAI, Cloud, and Analytics ecosystems.
• Experience as an Agile Project Manager and Scrum Master.
• Track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
• Deep understanding of project management techniques and tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
• Strong leadership in delivery teams, especially in offshore/onshore models.
• Experience in driving cross-sell and upsell initiatives in existing accounts.
• Excellent stakeholder management, storytelling, and advisory skills.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business value and ROI.
