Purpose of the Position

To optimize overall business effectiveness through planning & execution of projects & programmes aligned to the business objectives.

Key Performance Objectives

  1. Project & ROI Management
    • Plan & execute projects & programmes aligned to DMS company strategy.
    • Manage investment & return on the initiatives.
  2. Business Optimization
    • Provide subject matter expertise in process management and system enhancements.
    • Provide world-class solutions to enable the business to function optimally.
    • Perform gap assessments based on benchmarks, leading practice, and best-in-class competitors.
    • Execute Client & Revenue optimization Strategies.
    • Execute People Strategy.
  3. Cross-functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management
    • Establish and lead strong cross-functional teams to implement optimisation initiatives.
    • Actively manage stakeholder expectations across DMS in terms of delivery timelines.
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in DMS, Connected Video, GE, SuperSport, and EBS.
    • Manage the allocated functional budget.
    • Develop business improvement KPIs per initiative.
    • Set up an evaluation criterion consisting of key financial and non-financial metrics to shortlist innovative ideas that should be developed for short-term tactical gains or long-term strategic advantages.
  4. People Management
    • Lead the recruitment and retention of the best talent and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Develop a high performing team by embedding formal performance development and informal coaching.
    • Encourage frequent knowledge sharing between team members.
    • Determine and analyse development needs for the team and ensure that identified training requirements are budgeted for and executed.
    • Review and update the department's organisation structure and role description on at least an annual basis to ensure that they are fit for purpose and contain all the accountabilities of each team member.

Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree in Administration, Strategy, or Engineering.
  • Relevant Qualification in Accounts, Planning & Finance management, Project Management, Product Lifecycle Management.

Experience

  • 10-12 years of overall business experience in strategy, planning & accounts management.
  • 6-7 years relevant experience in planning, executing & managing ROI projects & programmes, change management & product lifecycle management.
  • Experience in managing cost & budget planning and implementation of related projects.
  • Experience in managing client relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Experience working on ad-hoc assignments which require traveling in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong understanding of Data & Analytics pertaining to all the areas within business.
  • Demonstrated delivery of projects and proven record of implementing solutions in a large-scale organization.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment with challenging stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship building, accountability, decision making, coaching, persuading and influencing skills.
  • Financial & Accounts Management, Project Management, Presentation Skills, Process engineering, SLA Management, Audience measurement metrics.
