Responsibilities
- Strategy Development and Implementation: Lead, create, and manage complex architectural solutions for deals from pre-sales to proposal and delivery, contributing to commercial modeling.
- Act as a key player in driving sales, business transformation, and client success through pre-sales and solution architecture.
- Define and maintain architecture and solution standards aligned with MTN Group guidelines.
- Evaluate and refine pre-sales processes to align with strategic growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
- Team Leadership: Engage with clients to understand their strategies and translate them into tailored solutions.
- Serve as trusted advisors during pre-sales, guiding clients on innovative solutions supporting their long-term goals.
- Develop customized architectural solutions from pre-sales to delivery.
- Create detailed proposals highlighting solutions, benefits, costs, and competitive edges.
- Align technical requirements with project and business strategies for scalability and growth.
- Lead RFP responses and collaborate on sales pipeline management.
- Coordinate with service providers and develop SLAs for large deals.
- Guide pricing models and contract negotiations.
- Oversee solution implementation, ensuring delivery as designed and tracking outcomes.
- Team Development: Mentor and manage engineers, foster collaboration, and set performance goals.
- Build a high-performance, customer-centric team, developing future leaders and maintaining KPIs.
- Implement training and promote healthy employee relations and diversity.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Governance: Develop and execute governance frameworks for pre-sales and solution standards.
- Conduct strategic meetings with stakeholders, review performance, and explore new opportunities.
- Manage budgets, monitor costs, and prepare proposals for initiatives.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in solution delivery, escalate issues as needed, and develop solutions for escalations affecting service delivery.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly review and refine solution offerings based on data and feedback, ensuring alignment with MTN SA strategy.
- Provide timely reports on performance and outcomes.
Qualifications
- 3-year qualification / 4-year tertiary qualification in Technology Systems or related field; MBA/Masters advantageous.
- At least 7 years’ experience in architecture design and delivery, including leadership in pre-sales or solutions architecture.
- Extensive experience with complex technical solutions in telecommunications, cloud, and enterprise solutions.
- Proven collaboration with sales teams to develop revenue-driving solutions.
- Experience managing solution development projects from requirements to implementation.
