How you'll make an impact

This role is responsible for leading a team that is made up of Partner Consultants and Implementation Consultants.

The Partner Consulting team consists of field-based and office-based team members, focused on presales and post-sales consultancy and implementation.

The Partner Consulting Senior Manager is responsible for leading the team, helping them to achieve their targets and KPIs and ensuring our Accounting and Bookkeeping Partners receive the support and guidance they need to succeed.

The role draws on experience and proven, dynamic leadership accompanied by knowledge of the accounting marketplace.

You will own and build Xero's consulting and product adoption experience with IPMT.

It carries responsibility for a significant proportion of Xero business across EMEA. In this role you will play a key part in reviewing and implementing best-in-class methodology, technologies, and tools to enable Xero partners to be as effective across their Xero client implementations as possible.

This role will work strategically with the rest of the business functions including Sales and Marketing to ensure alignment and success.

You will also be managing your team to set metrics.

What you'll do
  1. Ownership of the EMEA consulting & implementation strategy, revenue target, processes, and procedures.
  2. Manage a team of Partner and Implementation Consultants providing strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring and direct their activation, productivity, and effectiveness.
  3. Motivate, coach, and mentor team members in the field, championing consulting process and best practice, driving productivity and effectiveness.
  4. Work with other Xero stakeholders on our Partner Services messaging, raising visibility and managing external and internal expectations.
  5. Stay ahead of and proactively own industry trends and the competitive landscape, keeping key stakeholders across developments and opportunities.
  6. Provide insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders to develop both the regional and global consulting strategy.
  7. Develop and maintain Partner self-service tools and information to provide a professional Partner Resources repository and ensure partner awareness.
  8. Agree and manage service levels externally and internally.
  9. Ensure our Partner Consulting offering coincides with our strategic objectives and oversee the development of new services or content where required.
  10. Manage skills share across the Partner Consultant team to ensure consistent service levels.
  11. Drive collaboration with other Xero functions such as Product, Marketing, and Education.
  12. Share best practices with other Partner Consultant Management in each country.
  13. Responsible for overall people management of your team including the ongoing performance management, professional skills development, coaching, and career progression of the team.
  14. Deliver timely and accurate forecasts and associated reporting.
  15. Monitor activity, deliver feedback and provide hands-on process improvement.
  16. Carefully monitor competition across the EMEA markets and provide valuable, timely, and insightful input into competitive strategy.
  17. Facilitate team meetings, fostering the sharing of ideas and a strong team spirit.
  18. Work with leadership to shape and develop our culture, uphold our values, understand and promote our vision.
  19. Promote Xero as a thought leader via the creation of content (e.g., blogs, social media, webinars, events, and media engagement).

This is a hybrid role which will require fairly frequent travel to Xero offices with occasional overnight stays.

Success looks like
  1. Achieving activation targets, KPIs, and utilization metrics.
  2. Delivering consistency and predictability within the Partner Consulting Team.
  3. Building excellent relationships with internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  4. Building processes and tools to execute the long-term strategy of the Solutions Consulting team across EMEA.
  5. Overseeing exceptional service levels to Partners.
  6. A high performing, engaged, and motivated team.
What you'll bring with you
  1. Knowledge of day-to-day operation of an Accounting Firm would be a real advantage.
  2. Experience of people management would be desirable.
  3. Coaching and/or mentoring experience.
  4. Working to metrics CRM Usage.
  5. 2 years experience in a partner and/or practice consulting role.
  6. Proven success in building strong commercial relationships.
  7. Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  8. Drives other teams to support delivery of outcomes that are commercially beneficial to Consulting and Xero.
  9. To be process-driven and willing to take ownership.
  10. Ability to inject operational rigor into the consulting organization.
  11. Passion and desire to make a difference.
  12. Determination to succeed.
  13. Proven ability to use data and insights to facilitate your team to achieve its targets.
  14. Knowledge of Xero.
