Senior Manager - Office of the Group CFO

Our client, Eskom Holdings SOC Limited (Eskom), is a vertically integrated operation that generates, transmits, and distributes electricity.

Eskom seeks to appoint four Senior Managers to the Office of the CFO. These roles will provide functional leadership, strategic oversight, and support across the Eskom Group in developing, executing, and managing the Group Finance strategy and related strategic projects, including the Audit Recovery Project.

Reporting to the General Manager in the Office of the CFO, the Senior Manager Project Portfolio Delivery will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to project management teams. This includes planning, formulating, managing, and maintaining professional project support strategies, services, resources, and controls necessary for the success of the portfolio, ensuring financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Position and provide strategic leadership and oversight for the management and integration of projects and programs within the portfolio.
2. Direct and report on portfolio performance in accordance with the benefits realization process, governance framework, and contractual requirements.
3. Direct and report on financial performance for portfolio optimization.
4. Position and direct strategic relationships with key stakeholders for portfolio delivery.
5. Direct and influence the execution of portfolio projects for continuous improvement.
6. Lead and manage the portfolio management team performance.
7. Position and direct controls for planning, scheduling, accounting, and costing of portfolio management activities.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• B Degree / BTech in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce, or Built Environment, or Human Sciences (NQF 7)
• 10 years of experience in Portfolio, Programme, and Project Management, Financial Management, Cost Engineering / Cost Management, or Construction Management
