Job summary

Absa Bank Limited is seeking an experienced Communications leader to develop and deliver an integrated colleague communications strategy across the group. You will translate leadership priorities into actionable plans, manage content across intranet, emails, town halls and digital channels, and partner with business leaders to protect and enhance the bank's reputation.

The role requires 5–12 years in senior communications, with at least 3 years in people management, a Marketing/Communications

Qualifications

• Qualification in Marketing and/or Communications (NQF level 7).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Experience in developing and implementing communications strategies.
• Knowledge of AI LLMs and new media.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage an integrated communication strategy aligned with group priorities.
• Translate enterprise and leadership priorities into integrated colleague communications plans with segmentation and channels.
• Create and maintain an editorial and channel calendar coordinating priorities and engagement.
• Facilitate and implement internal communication platforms to engage employees and leaders.
• Plan, write, edit and publish content across intranet, emails, town halls, digital signage and events.
• Build relationships with the business to position Communications as reputation management experts.
• Assess business communication needs and advise on positioning and messaging.
• Coordinate and deliver monthly measurement and insight reports.
