Job description

Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Social Impact Unit. This includes managing, defining and executing financial transactions, contracts, contractual relationships, automation processes, governance requirements and data management. Additionally manage through the team all logistical requirements for governance and formal meetings with Trusts, stakeholder communication, and identifying risks which contributes to the overall performance and success of the Unit. Set and update policies as well as implement those across the enterprise where required

Job Responsibilities

Payments:

  • Develop and implement payment strategies to optimise processes and reduce costs
  • Oversee all company payments and transactions to ensure accuracy and reduce time to complete
  • Ensure all payment operations adhere to legal and company policies to minimise risk to the business

Contracting:

  • Manage all contractual agreements with suppliers, vendors, and partners and negotiate contract terms to ensure they are in the company's best interest.
  • Ensure all contracts are executed in accordance with corporate goals and legal requirements to support the company's strategic objectives and maintain legal compliance.

Automation:

  • Identify operational processes that could be improved through automation to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload.
  • Implement automation processes using appropriate technology to ensure the effective integration of technology and streamline operations.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of automation and adjust as necessary to maintain optimal performance

Data Management:

  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and management of operational data to ensure accurate and effective utilisation
  • Use data to drive decision-making and improve operational efficiency, enhancing overall performance.
  • Ensure all data management practices comply with data privacy laws and company policies to maintain legal compliance and protect sensitive information.

Travel Booking:

  • Oversee all aspects of employee travel, including managing budgets, booking flights and accommodation, to ensure smooth and efficient travel arrangements.
  • Develop and implement travel policies to ensure cost-effectiveness and employee safety.
  • Ensure all travel operations comply with company policies and legal regulations to maintain compliance and protect the company.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with employee travel to ensure the safety and well-being of employees.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and queries in a timely and effective manner to maintain strong relationships and trust.

Risk and Governance:

  • Identify potential operational risks and governance issues across the Social Impact Unit to proactively address and manage vulnerabilities.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate these risks to ensure the stability and security of operations.
  • Ensure all business operations comply with regulatory requirements, Nedbank policies, and Social Impact policies to maintain legal and organisational standards.
  • Develop governance frameworks to establish clear guidelines and accountability
