About this role

The primary function of the FC Transaction lead is to lead, co-ordinate and manage the financial close process of assigned projects, with the aim to achieve FC efficiently, and on time, in budget and with the assigned team. The team will comprise of internal Mulilo resources, and external advisors.

The Senior Manager: FC Transactions will report to the Director: FC Transactions.

Goals and responsibilities

  • Overall Deal Lead of allocated projects
  • Responsible for securing Mulilo PPC and Board Approvals
  • Owner of Project IRR returns, including ownership of the financial model inputs.
  • Responsible for Project Plan and Schedule and team adherence to the plan
  • Engaging stakeholders
  • Managing internal team members and external advisors, and the budget
  • Management of allocated advisor relationship(s)
  • Responsible for proper coordination between different departments, workstreams and team members.
  • Responsible for reporting to internal committees i.e weekly updates and bi-weekly Steering Committee meetings.
  • Management of communication and relationship with each off taker i.e IPPO etc
  • Lead PPA negotiations with offtakers
  • Responsible for lender engagement and co-ordination

Required skills and education background.

  • Tertiary or Masters Degree in relevant field (Engineering, Legal, relevant Finance/Quantitative degree) Strong administrative skills.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work within, and lead a team.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.

Additional Information

Able to work overtime according to operational needs.

The position is based at the offices of the company, but travel may be required occasionally.
