Job description

Senior Manager (Employee Wellness and Benefits) –Durban.

The purpose of the role is to lead and manage the Total Employee Wellness Programme (TEWP) across TSAM, integrating Primary and Occupational Health Care, Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP), and wellness initiatives, while ensuring compliance with South African legislation.

Salary: R137 500 per month plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight of health and wellness services across all TSAM sites, including 7 on-site clinics.
  • Manage external service providers to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with wellness objectives.
  • Lead budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for PHC, OHC, and EAP.
  • Monitor quality of healthcare services and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with key departments to implement integrated wellness initiatives.
  • Oversee performance metrics, SLA compliance, and facility management.
  • Develop and manage emergency response programmes in line with occupational health standards.

Requirements:

  • NQF Level 6 qualification in Business Management, HR, or equivalent (preferred).
  • 5–10 years senior management experience in employee wellness or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of health legislation, wellness programme management, and financial oversight.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint; SAP experience is advantageous.
