Senior Manager : Client Relations and Project Delivery

The role involves being responsible for delivering innovative software solutions to our financial services clients.

Main Responsibilities

1. Project & Solution Delivery: Project management, driving priorities, managing constraints, maintaining open & efficient communication channels, and ensuring quality focus.
2. Client Engagement & Relations: Building long-standing relationships based on trust and quality service.
3. Team Leadership & People Management: Mentoring team members, conducting one-on-one meetings, career discussions, and developing talent.
4. Business Development: Improving service offerings and exploring new business and technology themes.
5. Technical Leadership: Growing and leading from an expert technical base, utilizing tech resources effectively.
6. Business Insight: Applying and expanding knowledge of clients' business to provide better solutions and consulting.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• B.Sc, B.Eng, or B degree with IT-related majors from UCT, Stellenbosch, Wits, Pretoria, North West (Potchefstroom), Free State, KZN, Nelson Mandela, or Johannesburg, with above-average results (guideline: 60% average).
• Matric results above average for Mathematics.
• Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, public speaking).
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with a focus on automation.
• Critical thinking and quality focus.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Strong technical background in software engineering and project management leadership.
• Experience leading projects through full lifecycle, implementing scalable solutions, and enterprise-wide systems.
• Experience with system integration, middleware, automation, data migration, and business process management.
• Hands-on application support experience.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices, coding standards, source control, build processes, and testing.
• Experience with agile methodologies is desirable.
• Leadership and mentorship of software engineers and analysts.
• Proven success in project delivery, especially in regulated Financial Services environments.
• Understanding of financial processes like money management, payments, reconciliations, and data migration.
• Ability to coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and teams, understanding systems from enterprise to technical levels.
