To lead, integrate and align the Business Development, Sales and Client / Customer Service function for the business nationally through the development and implementation of a functional strategy and operating model that enables a high-performance culture, client satisfaction, reduced risk and compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements.Key Performance Areas : Client / CustomerProspect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.Analyse client and other business intelligence to identify, justify and drive opportunities to optimise service delivery to internal / external clients / customers.Develop and execute applicable client growth strategies in the context of a service and market strategy as well as an analysis of client intelligence.Analyse, report on and improve applicable client performance indicators.Client / Customer RetentionFully understand the clients' business and identify areas we can add value to the customer's supply chainFormulate strategies in conjunction with the customer to meet specific customer needsManage customer relationships with key decision makers within the customer's organisationDevelop relationships with new and potential client to continue to build business opportunitiesBe a driving force within the Company by building trust and cooperation at all levels within the client's organisation.Champion the customer's needs throughout the Company.Business Development PlanningContinuous learning, provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services.Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.Management and ResearchSubmit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the companyForecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light.Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company's people and capabilities.Understand the company's goal and purpose utilizing the knowledge to continuously enhance the company's performance.People management and development skillsQualifications Required : Relevant Business / Logistics / Marketing Bachelor's degree or DiplomaBasic financial qualifications would be an advantageExperience and Skills Required : 8 - 10 years' relevant work experienceMore than 5 years' experience in the Transport, Logistics and Supply Chain Industry in management or senior roleLeading / Managing a Marketing and Sales department is essentialAbout DP WorldTrade is the lifeblood of the global economy, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for people around the world.
