Candidates should have a Matric qualification, preferably a Millwright qualification, and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience in a maintenance technician role preferred.
  • Knowledge of plastic recycling processes is an advantage.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-shift safety inspections.
  • Attend to and resolve electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Service, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Complete daily, monthly, and yearly equipment checklists.
  • Monitor and record PH levels.
  • Assist with routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance.

This role requires a skilled individual with strong problem-solving abilities and technical expertise in both electrical and mechanical maintenance. Minimum Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Millwright qualification
  • 5 years’ experience in a maintenance technician role (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of plastic recycling processes (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-shift safety inspections
  • Attend to and resolve electrical and mechanical breakdowns
  • Service, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on machinery
  • Complete and maintain daily, monthly, and yearly equipment checklists
  • Replace and sharpen grinder blades as needed
  • Operate and monitor all plant machinery
  • Adjust operational settings to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Report any processing or equipment issues promptly to the Plant Manager
  • Monitor and record PH levels
  • Complete inspection sheets and give feedback to the team
  • Conduct safety inspections in line with statutory standards
  • Assist with routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance
  • Perform additional related tasks as required
