Job summary

Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Leader to direct the site maintenance team and ensure all assets are kept in optimal condition within budget and regulatory requirements.

You will drive preventative maintenance, supervise compliance with health, food safety and OSHACT, and collaborate with production to maintain product quality and process efficiency. The role requires GCC certification, a mechanical/electrical engineering background, and PLC experience.

Qualifications

• Requires GCC as Artisan (Electrician/Millwright)
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is essential
• Confectionary manufacturing certificate is desirable
• 5–7 years as Maintenance Manager at FMCG site is essential
• 3–5 years mechanical or electrical engineering experience
• 3–5 years working with plant-related PLC systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site maintenance team.
• Ensure adherence to preventative maintenance plans and Premier procedures.
• Ensure health and safety, food safety and OSHACT compliance through training and audits.
• Collaborate with production to ensure baking/confectionery processes meet specs.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements and quality enhancements.
• Procure, manage and control essential spares, stock, and tools within budget.
• Plan resources for maintenance, breakdowns, projects, inspections and audits.
