SENIOR LPR CONTROLLER – JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview:
The Senior LPR Controller is responsible for the advanced operation, monitoring and investigation of License Plate Recognition (LPR) systems and other public space surveillance technologies, contributing directly to operational objectives and the prevention of criminal activity. The role requires an individual who can operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and handle multiple tasks under pressure with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic utilisation of LPR cameras to achieve arrests and operational success.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Collaborate with group resources respectfully but decisively to obtain operational success
  • Investigate incidents to obtain actionable intelligence. Incorporate both current and historical data to obtain sound intelligence documenting the process to ensure that investigations can be assisted.
  • Verify and load VOI’s across various systems with comprehensive instructions.
  • Strong independent thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, multi-task, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of dedication to assigned tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least a PSIRA Grade C certification.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous direct involvement with LPR operations.
  • Experience on LPR systems such as Proof360, Syntell, Sniper, Navic ext.
