We are recruiting for their Senior Logistics Manager to lead the shipping which is tailored to clients' individual needs.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an export logistics coordinator within the fresh fruit industry
Required to have experience with global markets
Computer skills a necessity, especially Microsoft Excel
Proven experience in working closely with shipping lines and negotiating rates is required

JOB DESCRIPTION
Coordinate sea freight outbound logistics on all trades
Manage third-party service providers’ outputs, i.e., Freight Forwarders, Transporters
Build relationships directly with shipping lines and negotiate rates
Transport coordination, loading, and off-loading nationally of produce for exports
Be available 24/7 on-call for transport queries and coordination decisions that need to be made
Arrange inspections as needed
Manage and interact professionally with clients on logistics matters
Manage marine insurance claim process
Administration handling of the export process, related documents, and the filing thereof
System management (Microsoft Business Central):
Data capturing (intakes and stock for loadouts)
Processing of mates and electronic data
Generating of Logistical Documentation (e.g., Vessel Manifests, Invoices, Addendums)
Liaising with third parties regarding electronic data/queries
Ensure accompanying documentation for export is in order
Manage cost chain in logistics for the Commercial teams
Ensure all VGM certificates and agreements are in place and up to date
Ensure PPECB billing letters are completed in a timely manner
Pre-season logistical planning for all commodities, including forecasts and documentation requirements
Assist Commercial team with contract negotiations and getting SLA in place with third-party service providers (specifically Cold Store rates)
