Job description

MacRobert Attorneys is looking for a Senior Litigation Secretary in the Medical Department of our PretoriaBranch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all communication, including screening calls, handling messages, and coordinating instructions.
  • Type and prepare legal documents, affidavits, memos, and dictated notes with accuracy.
  • Draft court documents and briefs, and prepare document bundles.
  • Maintain well-organized filing systems and update internal records.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries related to accounts, payments, and general support.
  • Assist with documentation requirements, invoicing, disbursements, and debtor follow-ups.
  • Handle general administrative tasks including photocopying, binding, and file management.
  • Provide diary and appointment management support.
  • Assist with overflow tasks and offer occasional reception support when required.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a legal/litigation secretary
  • Matric or relevant qualification
  • Advantageous: background in personal injury or medical law
  • Excellent typing, transcription, and administrative skills and using AJS
  • Strong time management and ability to handle high workloads
  • Detail-oriented, professional, and client-focused
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and within a team
