Job Description:
The main purpose of the role is to participate in enhancing the advice process and digital financial advice tools by utilizing holistic financial planning experience.
Responsibilities:
- Deal with daily tactical and legal matters.
- Implement regulatory changes required in Distribution.
- Ensure proactive technical support to advisers is efficient.
- Maintain continuous interaction with marketing, distribution, and other divisional teams.
- Undertake strategic research and provide proposals on topics as requested by Distribution Exco, acting as the SME on technical financial advisory matters.
- Define and document requirements for digital advice projects as the process owner of the non-digital Wealth Advice Process.
- Support the digital advice team with practical suggestions and logical rules to guide advice to clients.
- Provide technical support to advisers, TAS colleagues, and other Distribution teams on advice process system queries/issues.
- Engage with the PPARA team to understand regulatory impacts and propose mitigation strategies.
- Represent TAS on distribution/advice and technical matters within and outside TAS.
- Lead the fiduciary process, chair the Fiduciary Technical committee, and support distribution activities.
- Review and improve fiduciary processes, policies, provider services, and IT systems.
- Responsible for CPD accredited training.
- Manage direct reporting staff effectively.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Law (LLB)
- CFP (advantageous)
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry
