Now Hiring: Senior Legal Counsel - Kempton Park

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team in Kempton Park.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support of DSV entities in South Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa in all legal matters.
• Contract support and corporate compliance.
• Participate in review processes of contracts, especially during M&A transactions.
• Support local management and handle general corporate housekeeping.
• Monitor changes in local legislation and liaise with authorities as needed.
• Assist with managing recovery of bad debts in collaboration with external legal counsel.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts in accordance with DSV policies.
• Support and manage litigation processes with external counsel.
• Assist the Group Customs department and local customs teams.
• Report claims timely to internal and group HQ departments.
• Facilitate communication with external legal counsel and ensure policy compliance.

Key Stakeholders

• Local management team including MDs and CFO.
• Sales and operational teams of each business unit.

Qualifications & Experience

• LLB Degree.
• Minimum 5 years as in-house counsel or lawyer, preferably in transport and logistics.
• Experience in international commercial negotiations.
• Knowledge of privacy laws and ability to train stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work under pressure, structured, and with a strong personality.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to cooperate across cultures and geographies.
