Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on financial services regulations, including POPIA, FICA, FAIS, and other relevant legislation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor changes in the regulatory landscape and assess their impact on the business.
• Conduct internal investigations and audits to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
• Advise on risk management strategies related to regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and deliver training on compliance matters to relevant business units.
• Review and approve marketing materials and customer communications for regulatory compliance.
• Manage regulatory reporting requirements and submissions.
• Support the legal department in managing legal risks and disputes arising from regulatory matters.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on financial services regulatory compliance.
