Senior Lecturer

Minimum Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of academic and/or professional experience in Civil Engineering or related field
• Three research outputs in the last 3 years
• Supervision of at least 1 Master’s candidate to completion
• Good communication and lecturing skills

Additional Requirements

• Demonstrate innovative teaching and learning approaches
• Be registrable as a Professional Engineer/Technologist with ECSA
• Preference for candidates already registered as a Professional Engineer/Technologist with ECSA
• Strong passion for teaching and research

Summary of Duties

1. Teach, assess, and develop modules across all levels of the Civil Engineering programs
2. Contribute to academic quality and provide leadership within the department
3. Lead curriculum development and review learning content
4. Participate in departmental research and supervise postgraduate students
5. Engage in industrial projects and community engagement activities
6. Perform administrative and other duties as assigned

Lecturer

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• At least 3 years of academic and/or industry experience
• Good communication and lecturing skills

Additional Requirements

• Innovative teaching approaches
• Qualification for registration as a Professional Engineer/Technologist with ECSA
• Preference for candidates already registered with ECSA
• Passion for teaching and research
• Research and postgraduate supervision experience is an advantage
• Research publications in accredited journals are a plus
• Doctorate qualification or current PhD registration is preferred
