SENIOR LECTURER IN STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING / DESIGN

Qualifications and Essential Requirements:

1. Doctoral degree in Structural Engineering / Design with a focus on Steel Structures.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
3. Strong research interest in structural dynamics and numerical modeling.
4. Developing track record of research outputs in refereed publications of internationally excellent quality.
5. Evidence of successful postgraduate student supervision.
6. Experience in teaching at a university environment.
7. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) or eligibility for registration with ECSA.

Your Role:

1. Teach discipline-related engineering courses and basic civil engineering topics at undergraduate level.
2. Supervise research of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
3. Lead a postgraduate coursework programme.
4. Contribute to research and innovation through publications, conference proceedings, journal papers, and book chapters.

1. Develop and sustain a productive research programme.
2. Maintain high-quality research outputs including books and journal papers.
3. Engage in research, innovation, and impact at national and international levels.
4. Mentor emerging researchers within the School and Faculty.
