The University Of Stellenbosch seeks a Senior Lecturer in Investment Management to enhance its Department of Business Management. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising research, and contributing to departmental activities. Responsibilities : Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in investment management, including property investment.
Supervising postgraduate students at honours, master's, and PhD levels (if holding a PhD).
Participating in departmental, faculty, and university activities.
Engaging in research towards completing a PhD (if applicable).
Qualifications : PhD in finance, investment management, or a related field, OR a master's degree in investment management or similar (e.g., MBA / MCom) with CFA qualification.
Proven knowledge and ability to teach modules in areas such as property investment, equity analysis, derivatives, fixed income securities, portfolio theory, behavioral finance, or investment ethics.
Experience lecturing in investment management at undergraduate level.
Ability to teach in English at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
At least one publication in an accredited journal.
Additional Requirements : Industry experience in an investment-related environment.
Selection Process : Short-listed candidates will present a lecture on a designated topic and provide course materials used previously.
