A PhD / Doctorate qualification in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
A Degree in Chemical Engineering (e.g., BTech, BEng, BScEng, Advanced Diploma, MTech, MSc, or MEng).
At least 5 years of teaching or professional experience.
Evidence of a publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
Experience supervising postgraduate students, including at least one MEng graduate.
Strong communication and lecturing skills.
A passion for teaching and research.
Registration or eligibility for registration as a professional engineer or engineering technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
Summary of Duties
Teaching Chemical Engineering subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Supervising postgraduate projects and students.
Developing learning materials for various courses.
Engaging in research activities.
Participating in industrial projects.
Using online learning platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard, and Teams.
Participating in community engagement projects.
Performing administrative duties as delegated.
Other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Being registered or eligible for registration with ECSA.
