Job Title: Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor (V000211)

Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
  • Teaching Computer Science modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Mentoring honours project students.
  • Supervising master's and doctoral students.
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating the school's teaching and learning programs and activities.
Research
  • Conducting scholarly research in the key areas of the School and research centre.
  • Publishing in high-impact journals and books.
  • Writing research proposals and securing funding.
  • Engaging with the community through subject-related projects, innovation, and industry collaboration.
Minimum Requirements
Associate Professor
  • A PhD (NQF Level 10) in Computer Science.
  • At least five (5) years of teaching experience at university level.
  • At least five (5) years of supervising master's and PhD students.
  • A proven research track record in Computer Science.
  • Community involvement with subject-related projects.
Senior Lecturer
  • A PhD (NQF Level 10) in Computer Science.
  • At least three (3) years of teaching experience at university level.
  • At least three (3) years of supervising master's and PhD students.
  • A proven research track record in Computer Science.
  • Community involvement with subject-related projects.
