Nelson Mandela University seeks to advance learning and teaching development across the George campus. The role focuses on planning and delivering a comprehensive strategy for academic staff, guiding curriculum development, and enhancing assessment practices.

You will collaborate with the BYJ coordinators to induct new academics and contribute to SoTL initiatives. The position requires a master’s degree in education or higher education and at least five years’ relevant experience in higher

Master's degree in Education or Higher Education (or equivalent).
At least five years’ experience in professional staff and curriculum development at a higher education level.

Responsabilidades

Coordinate and participate in processes rendering a comprehensive higher education learning and teaching strategy for academic staff.
Monitor and support the needs of academic staff regarding learning, teaching and assessment on the George campus.
Implement the Academic Induction Programme for new academics on the George campus with BYJ @ Mandela University coordinator.
Develop and implement policies related to best practices in learning, teaching and assessment.
Contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning SoTL.
Support collaborative curriculum development at institutional level.
Engage with additional academic enhancement initiatives as assigned by the Director of Teaching Development.
