Key Responsibilities

Laboratory work

  • Preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and performing experimental work of external projects.

Development of techniques

  • Preparing and providing feedback at the weekly feedback meeting.

Reports

Minimum Requirements

  • A master’s degree (NQF level 9) in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry – MSc or MEng.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ GC-MS; GC; BET experience in running experiments; interpreting results; and developing new or better methods.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ TGA experience in running experiments and interpreting results.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the analysis using coal and solid biomass waste material - run experiments and interpret results.
