Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Proactively reach out to and prospect for new C-suite level contacts across the Pharma, MedTech, and Consumer Health industries in South Africa.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans: Create and execute strategic sales & business development plans to achieve company goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners: Develop long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities: Gather data from industry reports, market surveys, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to understand the market landscape.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored consulting solutions: Conduct assessments of client needs by engaging with subject matter experts to understand specific requirements and pain points.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals: Craft persuasive presentations and proposals highlighting the benefits and solutions tailored to client needs.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate contracts, contribute to proposals, and close deals to maximize profits while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- C-suite Engagement: Engage effectively with C-suite executives to understand their strategic goals and align sales strategies.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrate understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting to provide value-driven solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, sales techniques, and best practices.
Minimum Required Education and Experience
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience and a successful track record as a senior professional sales representative with management experience in South Africa's private Pharma, MedTech, or Consumer Health industries.
