PayU South Africa seeks an experienced Key Account Manager with exceptional payments and e-commerce expertise to support product expansion and achieve business goals.

The Key Account Manager will develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with medium and large merchants, aiming for sales and profit growth. The role involves drafting and executing action plans aligned with mutually defined goals, focusing on high-value customers with strategic growth potential.

Role Highlights:

  • Upselling and cross-selling PayU products based on merchant needs and strategic objectives.
  • Designing strategic plans for portfolio profitability and sustainability.
  • Achieving sales quotas and profitability targets.
  • Managing internal projects with stakeholders and collaborating across teams including Risk, Pricing, Legal & Compliance, Integration, Operations, Technology, and Product.
  • Owning assigned accounts end-to-end.
  • Monitoring account performance and implementing strategic customer plans to prevent churn.
  • Maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Staying updated on product enhancements and industry trends, providing feedback to management.
  • Analyzing payment data to generate market and consumer insights.

Candidate Profile:

  • 7+ years in B2B Sales/Key Account Management.
  • Experience in e-payments, fintech, or e-commerce sectors.
  • Skills in budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and profitability reviews.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and develop business opportunities.
  • Understanding customer value drivers and reframing business perspectives.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
