Job Purpose

Participate in the formulation of the TIH Online Channel strategy (e.g., Web and Mobile).

Assist the Plan and Design team with market research and understanding customer needs.

Perform competitor, sector, industry, and global trend analysis to support the planning, design, and execution of online solutions for TIH's relevant segments (e.g., STI, Life, BI, and VAPS).

Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and Direction: Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and the broader organization's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
  2. Building Capability: Implement the formal development framework for a team, with guidance from senior colleagues. Provide informal coaching throughout the organization in your area of expertise.
  3. Data-driven Product and Service Improvement: Develop data-driven analyses to identify new opportunities to differentiate and improve products and user experiences, ensuring consistency across digital products, services, and channels.
  4. Product / Service Development: Manage the development and delivery of significant elements of the organization's product/service development program; create and drive the product/service roadmap and manage the backlog.
  5. Design and Build Digital Solutions: Design and build features and solutions, including sales and service-related features across digital channels, ensuring integration within a multi-channel framework.
  6. Horizon Scanning: Stay updated with the latest developments in digital insurance and related technologies; understand competitor strategies and global best practices; ensure solutions are customer-led based on user experience standards.
  7. Improvement / Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing practices; suggest and implement improvements; work within the organization's change management projects.
  8. Project and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with UX teams to design customer-centric solutions; stay updated with agile and continuous delivery practices.
  9. Business Case Development: Lead the development of business cases to justify investments and quantify current costs and benefits.
  10. Technical Recommendations: Recommend technical improvements to enhance quality and meet user needs.
  11. With IT: Maximize technology use to reduce costs and improve scalability and access.
  12. Project Realization: Develop plans to evaluate and maximize business benefits; ensure quality standards and targets are met, including customer experience, sales, cross-sell, cost reduction, and migration targets.

Qualifications

  • BCom in Business or BSc in Information Technology/Systems or similar (Essential); Product Owner certification (Advantageous); MBA or Hons (Advantageous)

Experience

  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience, including product development and experience in the financial services industry (Advantageous)
  • 3 to 6 years of managerial experience in resource planning and management (Essential)
