RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN / TECHNICAL PROJECT LEAD for a growing national IT solutions company. The position is based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

Job Description

1. Grade 12 qualification.
2. Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
3. Proficiency in Server OS and related services (Windows Server, AD, DNS, GP).
4. Experience with infrastructure including server hardware and virtualization technologies.
5. Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions and disaster recovery planning.
6. Understanding of IT security measures (firewalls, EDR, software services, security policies).
7. Networking skills, TCP/IP to Layer 3, design, and implementation.
8. Experience in managing and contributing technically to projects.
9. Knowledge of Voice (hosted PABX).
10. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
11. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
12. Willingness to work after hours when required.
13. Willingness to travel to clients when required.
14. Flexibility to work remotely and/or in an office environment.
