RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN for a growing national IT solutions company. The position is based in Cape Town, Western Cape.

PERSON MUST BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY!

Job Description

1. Grade 12 qualification.
2. Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
3. Experience with Server OS and related services (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy).
4. Knowledge of infrastructure including server hardware and virtualization technologies.
5. Experience with backup and recovery solutions and Disaster Recovery planning.
6. Understanding of IT security, including firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), software services, and security policies.
7. Networking skills, particularly TCP/IP to Layer 3, including design and implementation.
8. Experience in managing and contributing technically to projects.
9. Knowledge of Voice technologies, such as hosted PABX systems.
10. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform.
11. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
12. Willingness to work after hours when required.
13. Willing to travel to clients when necessary.
14. Flexibility to work remotely and/or in an office setting.
