Job Title: Senior IT Security Architect (24 Month Contract) (JHB)

Job Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Deadline: August 29, 2025

Environment:

• Ensure secure designs and resilient systems as a Senior IT Security Architect for a dynamic IT consultancy in Johannesburg.
• Play a critical role in enhancing Security Architecture capabilities and addressing backlog security design reviews for key systems across the Group.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, POPIA, and internal governance frameworks, with travel to OT sites across the country.
• Require 5-10 years of experience in IT Security Architecture and OT Security.
• This engagement starts in September 2025 for a minimum of 24 months.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and governance frameworks.
• Conduct security design reviews for critical systems.
• Validate outcomes and provide security recommendations.
• Engage with vendors to ensure security compliance.
• Execute remediation actions and security enhancements.
• Collaborate with Group Enterprise Architecture and other disciplines.
• Report to the Group EA and Cyber Security functions, aligning with cybersecurity strategies.
• Travel to OT sites as required.
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements for continuous enhancement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA.
