Senior It Business Analyst

We are looking for a highly technical, skilled, and energetic Senior Technical Business Analyst to join the IT Team at M&G Investments.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work collaboratively across a global business to drive progress in our change and project management processes.

As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will be part of the change program, with projects ranging from small to large in scope.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of IT.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce logical and technical specifications from functional specifications for application environments.
• Design components utilizing Technology and Data Architecture Models.
• Assist in designing new systems and major changes to existing systems in consultation with the Enterprise Architect.
• Conduct systems analyses, design, system testing, security assessments, performance assessments, and develop user interfaces, applying Desktop and SaaS/MSP Technologies.
• Investigate, analyze, and document business functions, processes, and information across applications.
• Identify business needs and determine effective solutions.
• Act as a bridge between business and IT development teams.
• Evaluate and document business architecture, conduct feasibility studies, create business cases, risk assessments, prototypes, proposals, and functional requirements.
• Document test plans and coordinate testing efforts.
• Develop implementation plans and ensure successful deployment.
• Work with team members on an agile sprint schedule, participating in daily scrums, sprint estimations, and demos.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners.
• Continuously learn new skills and technologies.
• Oversee change control processes for development teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• IIBA or Business Analysis diploma (required).
• 8-10 years of experience as a Business and/or Systems Analyst, preferably in Asset Management or financial services.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and training.
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams, including offshore resources.
• Proven experience across multiple project disciplines: Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid.
• Experience in digital transformation projects and change management.
• Strong technical, analytical, process, and data analysis skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment, adapt to change, and be flexible.
• Self-motivated, energetic, with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures relevant to business analysis.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently, and manage projects effectively.
