Capitec Bank is seeking an Audit Manager to lead IT internal audits with a focus on cloud security and SDLC controls. The role demands deep technical expertise and the ability to operate independently at a senior level within Capitec's fast-growing technology and data environment.

This is not a generalist position; you will engage senior stakeholders, translate complex findings into actionable recommendations, and monitor audit actions to completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ managerial experience in a banking environment with a team of 5 or more.
• At least 5 years IT/Technology audit experience.
• Strong expertise in cybersecurity, SDLC processes and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with IT systems such as AWS, SDLC and cybersecurity.
• Solid understanding of IT risk frameworks, governance and control environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA.
• Degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Self-directed work style with ownership and follow-through.
• Experience leading full audit cycles independently, from planning to reporting.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead end-to-end IT internal audits, focusing on cloud environments and security controls.
• Identify risks in technology and data landscape and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Engage senior stakeholders across tech and data teams to ensure audit outcomes drive real change.
• Stay current with emerging technology risks and apply knowledge to audit planning.
