Job summary

Capitec Bank Ltd. seeks an experienced Lead Internal Auditor to strengthen our IT audit program. You’ll apply deep technical expertise in SDLC, cloud and cybersecurity to design and execute audits that improve controls and reduce risk.

You’ll work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, translate complex findings into clear recommendations, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, digitally active banking environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT internal audit experience with data analytics design/participation.
• Significant exposure to cybersecurity, SDLC processes, and cloud environments.
• Experience conducting full audit cycles with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and ability to relay findings to stakeholders.
• Understanding of best practice frameworks and control environments.
• CISA certification; CISSP and/or OCSP/CEH advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Self-directed work style; ownership and end-to-end delivery.
• Good project management including progress and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT audit management in planning IT internal audits and executing them with minimal supervision.
• Identify risks in technology and data landscape and draft actionable recommendations.
• Engage cross-functional tech and data stakeholders to achieve audit outcomes.
• Monitor implementation of agreed audit actions and track progress.
• Develop project plans within agreed scope and timelines.
• Stay current with emerging technology risks and apply to audits.
