Key Responsibilities

Develop and articulate the firm's overall investment philosophy and strategic asset allocation framework.
Conduct comprehensive macroeconomic analysis and forecasting for global and local economies.
Analyze financial markets, including equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities, to identify investment opportunities and risks.
Formulate tactical and strategic asset allocation recommendations for client portfolios.
Collaborate with portfolio managers to ensure alignment between investment strategy and portfolio construction.
Produce research reports, market commentaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Engage with clients and consultants to articulate investment strategies and outlooks.
Stay abreast of emerging investment trends and innovative financial products.

Requirements

Master's degree or PhD in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. CFA charter holder strongly preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in investment strategy, asset allocation, portfolio management, or economic research.
Demonstrated expertise in macroeconomic analysis, quantitative modeling, and financial market research.
Proven ability to develop and communicate sophisticated investment strategies.
Strong understanding of various asset classes and their risk/return characteristics.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Experience working in a hybrid environment.
Must be authorized to work in South Africa .
