Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Investment Portfolio Manager in Vereeniging, Gauteng, to oversee and grow diverse client portfolios. The role requires deep market knowledge, risk management expertise, and a proven track record in achieving investment targets.

You will build strategies, monitor performance, and maintain strong client relationships in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Finance/Economics (CFA preferred) and 7+ years of progressive investment

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• CFA designation highly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive investment experience.
• Proven track record in managing portfolios and achieving targets.
• Strong knowledge of markets, risk management, and investment products.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
• Excellent analytical and client-relations skills.
• Experience with portfolio software and trading platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with client mandates.
• Conduct market research, economic analysis, and security selection.
• Manage diversified portfolios across equities, fixed income, and alternatives.
