Senior Investment Officer (Green Fund)

Are you passionate about driving sustainable investments that make a real impact? A leading financial institution is seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Officer to join its dynamic Climate and Environmental Finance team.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of green investments by assessing and managing high-impact projects within the Green Fund.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct screening, due diligence, and appraisal of investment and non-investment proposals.
2. Prepare detailed reports and financial models to support investment decisions.
3. Perform credit risk analysis and assess commercial, financial, and institutional aspects of projects.
4. Negotiate term sheets and ensure optimal financial, institutional, and legal structuring.
5. Oversee project disbursements and monitor post-investment performance.
6. Develop project screening and assessment criteria in alignment with strategic objectives.
7. Engage with key stakeholders, including government departments and Green Fund clients.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

1. Honours degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or Economics.
2. A postgraduate qualification such as CA, CFA, or MBA would be highly advantageous.
3. 5-7 years of experience in appraising, negotiating, and closing project, corporate, or structured finance transactions within a financial institution.
4. Proven track record in investment appraisal, analysis, and implementation.
5. Strong financial modelling skills and experience in green or climate-related investments will be an added advantage.
