Job description

Our client is searching for a Senior Investment Officer to join their team in Cape Town.

Responsibilities :
  1. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and strategic partnerships for the organization.
  2. Organize and participate in networking events, conferences, and industry forums to establish and strengthen business networks.
  3. Assess the financial health and potential risks of targeted companies through comprehensive due diligence.
  4. Create detailed financial models, including revenue projections, cost analysis, risk assessment, and return calculations to guide investment decisions.
  5. Draft comprehensive investment reports that communicate findings, risks, and potential returns to stakeholders.
  6. Structure and negotiate viable financing solutions with targeted companies to optimize returns for the organization based on the associated risk.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the broader SME market.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the performance of client portfolios.
  9. Keep abreast of industry regulations, market dynamics, and economic trends to adapt investment strategies accordingly.
Qualifications :
  • A BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field, with a minimal level of Financial Accounting 2 or equivalent.
Requirements :
  • 4 or more years of experience in business investment or a related finance role. Experience in auditing, banking, financial accounting, and/or sales and marketing is advantageous.
  • The candidate must possess the ability to build and maintain relationships, have strong negotiation skills, be results-focused, and analytical with a strong financial background.
  • Must have own transport and a valid Driver's License.
