Job description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To fill a full operations role in the booking process, supporting travel designers by being the first line in relationships with suppliers and managing the backend of each booking made by the journey designers.

This role involves securing bookings with all service providers, including travel designers, accurately, efficiently, and without errors.

This position is based in Johannesburg.

Detailed Responsibilities
  • Liaise with travel designers, Reservations Specialists, Concierge, and GEL on all bookings in an operational capacity.
  • Maintain continuous communication with suppliers and internal sales support teams, ensuring trust and excellent support.
  • Keep all booking information updated in the system, ensuring CRM is current.
  • Add all special requests from agents into WW (e.g., honeymoon, birders, dietary requirements, ages, etc.).
  • Stay updated with all WS and AP product updates and technology updates.
  • Attend weekly WS and AP training sessions to ensure knowledge facilitates exceeding expectations and accuracy in bookings.
  • Keep abreast of company policies, procedures, and system updates.
Candidate Profile

Qualifications: Matric certificate with Maths (minimum standard grade or above). Tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality is advantageous.

Experience: Computer literate (Microsoft Office, email, internet). Proven English literacy. General destination knowledge of Southern or East Africa.

Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Foreign language skills are advantageous.

Interests: A passion for wildlife and a commitment to sustainability and conservation.
