Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a hybrid team in East London, Eastern Cape. You will lead the design and implementation of critical infrastructure projects, including roads, water, and sanitation systems, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with clients and regulators.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, at least 7 years of relevant experience, and professional registration with ECSA is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Professional registration (Pr. Eng.) with ECSA is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex infrastructure projects, such as road networks, water supply, and wastewater systems.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and local engineering standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Manage project interfaces with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Conduct site visits and provide engineering support during the construction phase.

About the Role

This role is pivotal in managing and contributing to the design and implementation of critical infrastructure projects, including roads, water, and sanitation systems. You will lead technical aspects of projects, ensure high standards of engineering practice, and mentor junior engineers. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management acumen, and strong collaborative skills to work effectively within the team and with external stakeholders. This is a key role in enhancing the infrastructure capabilities of the Eastern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities
