Senior Infrastructure Delivery Programme Specialist

Responsibilities

Our client in the consulting engineering sector is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Delivery Programme Specialist to join the Advisory team in their Johannesburg or Durban office. The purpose of the role is to grow the business and team to successfully deliver services supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects within the Advisory arena. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

1. Identify viable prospects and development of winning proposals.
2. Initially this will be focused primarily on South Africa but as the business grows this will also need to look at the wider Sub-Saharan Africa market.
3. Deliver commercially successful projects within the framework of company's integrated management systems.
4. Provide high quality technical inputs and technical leadership on institutional development/ management projects.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, new potential customers and key strategic delivery partners.
6. Mentor and guide junior team members and peers to strengthen the service offering and enable resilience within a small team to deliver niche services.
7. Identify and develop new market opportunities to grow the Advisory business.
8. Ensure the company's HSE policies are implemented and adhered to in all activities.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or programme / project management.
2. Related Qualification in the Infrastructure Advisory services arena.
3. Eighteen (18) plus years' experience working with government.
4. Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders from political, technical, and public interest backgrounds.
5. Ensure close commercial management of projects.
6. Proven track record of leading and managing a technical team.
7. Sound knowledge of professional and international standards.
8. Strong financial acumen, analytical agility and problem-solving skills.
