Job summary

Datonomy Solutions is seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to provide specialist technical expertise in a financial services environment. You will resolve complex security issues, implement and maintain security technologies, and strengthen processes and standards protecting business systems.

This hands-on role requires independent work, stakeholder advisory, and mentoring of other analysts and administrators, with a proactive approach to emerging threats and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Advanced diploma or relevant bachelor's degree required.
• CISSP, CISM or equivalent security certification essential.
• 10–15 years' IT experience in a corporate environment.
• At least two years in a senior role within a technical discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience specializing in information security technology.
• Demonstrated experience implementing, supporting and troubleshooting security technologies.
• Experience managing changes, resolving incidents and maintaining operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve complex security issues with stakeholders.
• Implement, support and optimise security technologies for stable environments.
• Analyse logs and security reports to identify deviations and actions.
• Plan and implement security changes across risk categories.
• Create and review information security standards and procedures.
• Monitor environments for policy alignment and best practices.
• Evaluate new security products and participate in proofs of concept.
• Support implementation and handover of new security tech.
• Review project docs and provide security input across SDLC.
• Identify opportunities to improve security processes and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on security solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to security staff.
• Stay informed about new threats and security developments.
• Provide after-hours support to resolve critical issues.
