We are seeking a technically skilled and highly dependable Industrial Security Systems Engineer to join our Industrial Security Team. This role is central to maintaining, configuring, and enhancing the security systems that protect critical infrastructure and personnel. With an expectation of 99.9% system uptime, you will be responsible for supporting and developing integrated solutions across access control, video surveillance, and workforce management systems — often in high-pressure, 24/7 operational environments.
Responsibilities
- Core System Support & Administration
- Maintain and optimise the following systems:
- Honeywell Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI)
- Honeywell Temaline Access Control
- Honeywell Digital Video Manager (DVM)
- RightCrowd Workforce Management
- Ensure all systems operate within required SLAs, with emphasis on 99.9% uptime.
- Database & Data Analytics
- Administer, troubleshoot, and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases (DBA-level expertise preferred).
- Use Microsoft Power BI to develop dashboards, reports, and alerts for system monitoring and analytics.
- Implement and maintain Redgate Database DevOps practices for version control, change tracking, and automation.
- Infrastructure, Backup & Cloud
- Manage and secure backup environments using Acronis Backup Solutions.
- Work within Microsoft Azure for hybrid cloud deployments, data storage, and automation.
- Monitor and support networking infrastructure related to physical security systems.
- Operational Support & Incident Response
- Provide after-hours and standby support as part of a rotation.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve critical issues affecting system availability.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security-related incidents, system faults, or access anomalies.
- System Improvements & Documentation
- Continuously assess system performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Maintain clear documentation for configuration, change management, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Strong experience supporting and administering:
- Honeywell EBI, Temaline, DVM
- RightCrowd Workforce Management
- Near-DBA-level proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (minimum 5 years experience)
- Solid understanding of Power BI, Azure, networking, and Acronis
- Familiarity with Redgate DevOps tools
- Exceptional attention to detail, urgency in fault response, and ability to work independently under pressure.
