Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Electrician for our client in Polokwane. The role covers installation, maintenance and repair of industrial electrical systems, upholding safety and South African standards.

You will lead diagnostics, read schematics and supervise junior electricians to ensure operational reliability. The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of industrial electrical experience, with NQF Level 3/4, and a Wireman's license being a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with relevant trade test certification (NQF Level 3/4).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance and installation.
• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and automation technologies.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Valid Wireman's license is a strong advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair a wide variety of industrial electrical equipment, including motors, control panels, lighting systems, and power distribution networks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with South African National Standards (SANS) and relevant safety regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime and ensure operational continuity.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior electricians and maintenance personnel.
