Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Industrial Design Engineer to join our client in Randburg. You will lead the design process from ideation through prototype development, focusing on functionality, manufacturability and aesthetics.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of experience in industrial design or product development, with strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino), materials knowledge, and proven project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering with a strong portfolio.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in industrial design or product development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools and understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent sketching, visualization, and communication skills with project leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the industrial design process for new products from concept to final design specifications.
• Develop detailed 3D models, renderings, and prototypes to visualize concepts.
