Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ICT Solutions Engineer to join our client's dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting a wide range of ICT solutions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
This role demands a hands-on professional with strong technical knowledge across multiple platforms, particularly in wireless networking, VoIP, cybersecurity, and Microsoft environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support ICT infrastructure solutions for a range of clients and internal systems.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft desktop environments.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP systems (Yeastar) and IP surveillance systems (Hikvision).
- Perform wireless network planning and deployment using Ubiquiti and Mikrotik technologies.
- Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are implemented and maintained across ICT environments.
- Provide field support, maintenance, and upgrades to ICT systems with minimal disruption.
- Diagnose and resolve complex ICT-related issues both remotely and on-site.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical training sessions.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and certifications relevant to the role.
- Traveling between head office in Mpumalanga and Gauteng office required.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Education & Certifications:
- Matric Certification with Mathematics, English, and Computer Science as subjects.
- CompTIA A+ and N+ International Certifications.
- VoIP Qualifications (Yeastar or equivalent).
- IP Camera System Certification (Hikvision or equivalent).
- Wireless Product-Specific Certifications (Ubiquiti and/or Mikrotik).
Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years relevant field experience in ICT environments.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in wireless network infrastructure.
- Proficient in the installation and support of VoIP and IP camera systems.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
