Senior ICT Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ICT Solutions Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting a wide range of ICT solutions to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role demands a hands-on professional with strong technical knowledge across multiple platforms, particularly in wireless networking, VoIP, cybersecurity, and Microsoft environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and support ICT infrastructure solutions for clients and internal systems.
2. Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 desktop environments.
3. Install, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP systems (Yeastar) and IP surveillance systems (Hikvision).
4. Perform wireless network planning and deployment using Ubiquiti and Mikrotik technologies.
5. Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are implemented and maintained.
6. Provide field support, maintenance, and upgrades with minimal disruption.
7. Diagnose and resolve complex ICT-related issues remotely and onsite.
8. Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
9. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical training sessions.
10. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and certifications relevant to the role.
11. Travel between the head office in Mpumalanga and Gauteng as required.

Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Matric Certification with Mathematics, English, and Computer Science.
• CompTIA A+ and N+ International Certifications.
• VoIP Qualifications (Yeastar or equivalent).
• IP Camera System Certification (Hikvision or equivalent).
• Wireless Product-Specific Certifications (Ubiquiti and/or Mikrotik).

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant field experience in ICT environments.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge and experience in wireless network infrastructure.
• Proficient in the installation and support of VoIP and IP camera systems.
• Expertise in Microsoft 365 desktop environments.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• High professionalism, integrity, proactive, and self-motivated.

Additional Certifications & Experience

• Microsoft, Cisco, or other networking certifications (desirable).
