Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Control Systems Engineer to join our client in Rustenburg, North West. This on-site role focuses on design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of sophisticated control systems for heavy industrial machinery.

You will optimize plant performance, enhance safety, and ensure reliable operation of mining equipment. Requires 5+ years in industrial control systems and strong PLC/SCADA expertise.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial control systems engineering, preferably mining or heavy industry.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram) for major manufacturers.
• Experience with SCADA system development and configuration (Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC).
• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control system architecture.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA).
• Configure and program PLC platforms (Siemens, Rockwell) for process control.
• Develop and maintain SCADA systems for monitoring and data acquisition.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
• Commission new control systems and upgrade existing installations.
• Develop and execute test plans for control systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to define requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support and training to site technicians and operators.
